Matthew & Taylor Baughman

Matthew and Taylor Founded The Inn Church in 2021 only a few months after getting married. They started with a simple mission: Meet with Jesus & Love people where we are, with what we have, when we are there. According to Pastor Matthew, "We see Jesus focusing on the moment often at the expense of a "more important" problem, yet that approach always led Him to reach the people right in front of Him. Unfortunately, most Christians have lost that approach, looking rather to big stages and human praise. We are determined to be different for if our preaching is better than our living, we are big in trouble."

Elders

Matthew Baughman is a husband and father with one beautiful daughter named Winter Rose. At the age of just eight, he heard the Lord say that one day he would be a pastor. That moment set him on a path in which he wasted no time. He began serving in youth and children's ministry at 16, and served there for 3 years in both area before transitioning into Young Adults Ministry for a brief time. This season was cut short when Covid began in 2020, and Matthew transitioned out of ministry in that church altogether as he prepared to get married. It wasn't long before God spoke again, this time calling Matthew to plant a church, and just one month after getting married, The Inn Church was born.

Daniel Baughman is a husband and father of five children, the youngest of whom is our Senior Pastor, Matthew Baughman. He grew up in a Christian family and accepted Christ as a child, but he truly surrendered his will to the Lord as a teenager while attending a Christian concert. From there, he pursued a life of public service, first in Los Angeles, then in 2005, he moved to Frisco, Texas, where he continued his career for 18 more years. He retired in 2024 after 28 years of public service to pursue woodworking full time. Throughout his life, God has developed an especially strong passion for seeing men become the kingdom warriors He intended them to be. He currently works as the co-owner of "Signs & Wonders Sawmill & Woodworking," a local business serving Wolfe City, and the surrounding area.
